Christian Science Camp Counselors

This program offers a limited number of grants to camp counselors who have been selected by their camp director.  These grants are paid to the student’s educational institution in the student’s name and may be used for tuition, books and supplies, course fees and auxiliary programs such as special subject programs or abroad programs.  This provides significant opportunities for young Christian Scientists to put into practice the truths learned at Sunday School and at home.  Since camps often have limited funds to pay for counselors, this program augments those funds so that qualified counselors are not obliged to look elsewhere for higher paying summer jobs.  Camp directors are then able to recruit the best role models and mentors as counselors to the great benefit of their campers.  Applicants must be enrolled at least half time in an accredited college or vocational institution subsequent to their camp counselor employment.  Camp directors will provide applications for this program to qualified counselors.
