Volunteering

We have a valued network of volunteers in all of the countries we operate. If you would like to help us screen applicants, mentor awardees, host an event, or expand into countries where we don’t have a program yet, please send an email to admin@albertbakerfund.org.

For nearly 50 years The Albert Baker Fund has quietly supported the Cause of Christian Science by investing in the higher education of Christian Scientists. During this time our support has grown to include the education of Christian Science nurses, Christian Science U.S. Military Chaplains, college students interning at The Mother Church, college students active in the Christian Science Organization on their campuses, and many new pioneers of Christian Science in developing countries.

Why Support Albert Baker Fund Students?

  • When you support our students you invest in active, dedicated Christian Scientists who have the desire–and the capability–to bless their communities, the Christian Science Movement, and the world.
  • Every applicant is carefully screened by our staff or a local volunteer to ensure that they are a practicing student of Christian Science.
  • Each recipient is encouraged to consider how they can best pass the blessings of their education forward to others.
  • Since our endowment covers yearly operations costs, we can guarantee that every dollar we receive will go directly to help students. We are a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable corporation, so all donations are tax-deductible.

Ways to Give

We appreciate each donation we receive as an expression of love from Christian Scientists to their fellow Christian Scientists.

  • We accept donations at any time on this website or through the U.S. Mail.
  • We can customize planned giving programs, such as gifts of stocks or annuities, or beneficiary designations.
  • We recently launched  The Albert Baker Legacy Circle for those who would like to include The Albert Baker Fund in their estate plan. Learn how to become a charter member of the Legacy Circle and receive a beautiful commemorative gift.
  • We can designate your gift to a specific program or area of your interest, such as Christian Science nurses training or students pursing a particular major or career.
