During the past few years, the Albert Baker Fund has expanded its financial assistance to Christian Scientists worldwide and we hope to continue. In 2004, we began offering scholarships for college, graduate school, and vocational education in several African and European countries. We also provide assistance with Christian Science nurses training in Europe and South America.
ABF in Africa
In Africa, we have two Regional Program Managers and a network of In-Country Representatives (Reps) who manage our programs in university, graduate school and vocational education.
| Note: we have temporarily suspended our program in Tanzania. | |
ABF in Europe
In Europe, we have one regional representative and a network of In-Country Representatives who run programs in university, graduate school and vocational education.

Christian Science Nurses Training
We are now funding nurses training at the following locations:
- Charton Manor (Kent, UK)
- Le Verger (Rolle, Switzerland)
We want to expand our international programs!
Ultimately, we hope to support Christian Scientists wherever they are. However, it takes a lot of time, money and volunteers to set up a new program. If you live in a country where we do not have a program, please contact Lonnie Best-Jarvis, our International Programs Manager. If you’re a student, please tell her where you want to go to school and how much it costs. If you’d like to become an In-Country Representative who helps screen applicants, please tell us a little about your background and qualifications.
