Overview of Fall 2010 Applications

Last fall The Albert Baker Fund received a record number of applications from students seeking financial aid for college, graduate school and vocational education programs. Here’s a quick overview:

  • We awarded financial aid to a total of 557 Christian Scientists
  • Of these, 407 are enrolled in undergraduate studies, 71 are graduate students, and 79 are seeking vocational training for specific job-related skills
  • We awarded a total of $730,000 in loans and grants. All international students receive grants for studying in their own country.
  • We awarded $317,000 in loans and $413,000 in grants (including international students)
  • Here is a sample list of the colleges that are students have enrolled in: Boston University, California Maritime Academy, Columbia University, Georgetown University, Mount Holyoke College, Kampala International University, National University of Rwanda, New York University, Northeastern University, Occidental College, Pepperdine University, Principia College, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of California at Los Angeles, University of Illinois, University of Oklahoma, University of Southern California, University of Virginia
