The Longyear Museum in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, is now accepting applications for:
- Full-time IT Coordinator
The IT coordinator will provide user-support to a staff of approximately 25 and will work closely with the Museum’s IT consulting firm. This position is also responsible for website support, as well as audio visual and media support. This position reports to the Business and Finance Manager. Experience with Drupal or other website content management platforms is preferred. Membership in The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, is required. Christian Science class instruction is preferred. - Part-time Weekend Visitor Services Representative
The Visitor Services team is the first point of contact for visitors to the Museum and provides information about the Museum, the exhibits, and the Daycroft Library, and offers assistance to guests throughout their stay. The position is also responsible for in-person and telephone weekend sales in the Longyear Museum Store. Additional duties include assisting with all Longyear and community events on the weekends. Strong communication and organizational skills required. A candidate for this position must be available for a permanent Saturday and Sunday schedule and have prior cash register or retail experience. Membership in The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, is required. Christian Science class instruction is preferred.
