TMC Youth is now accepting applications for 19 summer internships available in many exciting career areas: editorial, marketing, community relations, social media, product development, video, archival research, and more. The internships begin June 6 and run through August 12, 2016, so interns will be able to attend the College Summit here in Boston August 12-14. (The Mother Church (TMC) is waiving the registration fee for anyone who interns with their program this summer!)
Interns spend 80 percent of their time working for a specific church department, and 20 percent of their time helping TMC Youth. Here’s a complete list of job descriptions.
Interns will receive $250 per week, based on 37.5 hours worked, plus housing. All pay and housing benefits are taxable. In addition, interns who are planning to continue with college in the immediate term following their internship may be eligible for an Albert Baker Fund scholarship grant.
Who Can Apply?
Students and recent graduates who are spiritual thinkers and are proactive in their churches or communities, or on their college or university campuses. Above all, interns must be committed to the healing mission of The Mother Church.
International students holding F-1 or J-1 Visas can also apply. They do need approval from their colleges/universities. They also need an Employment Authorization Document from the US Citizenship and Immigration Service covering the period of the internship. International students who need other work authority are not eligible.
TMC Youth internships are a great opportunity to gain hands-on career experience, receive mentoring in a field of interest, and contribute fresh ideas to the daily activities of the Christian Science Movement.
