Change in loan service provider effective March 1, 2018

We would like to notify you that the servicing of your loan(s) with The Albert Baker Fund will be transferred to UNISA Inc., effective March 1, 2018. Our current servicer, Conduent Education Services (ACS-Education), is leaving the industry and we are excited to partner with UNISA moving forward.

The transfer of the servicing of your loan(s) does not affect any of the terms or conditions of your Promissory Note(s), other than those directly related to the servicing of your loan.

Please remit all payments due on or before March 1, 2018 to the current servicer, Conduent (ACS-Education).

If you are currently making automatic payments, please stop any automatic payments made directly to Conduent (ACS-Education) after this date. If you wish to set up automatic payments with the new servicer, please fill out the attached form and return it by mail to UNISA.

Your new servicer, UNISA, will start accepting payments from you after March 1, 2018. You will be hearing directly from UNISA during the first half of March. Your new servicer contact information is:

UNISA Inc.

7400 East Arapahoe Road

Englewood, CO 80112-1279

Please contact our office if you have any questions or concerns. We can be reached at 916–594-9513 or accounting@albertbakerfund.org.

When Are My Payments Due?

Payments begin one year after you graduate. Please refer to your individual promissory notes to determine the interest rate and repayment duration (term), as our rates and terms may have changed over the years. There is no fee for paying off your loan prior to the required payment start date.

What if I Can’t Make My Payment?

If you are having financial difficulties, you can contact us directly at loans@albertbakerfund.org. We genuinely want to help, and we will try to work something out.

Deferring Payments

You may defer payments under certain circumstances, but you must file a formal request.

Circumstances warranting deferment of payments:

  • Resuming your education as a full-time student
  • Serving in the U.S. military or Peace Corps

Contact ABF if you are in the following situations:

  • Receiving unemployment assistance
  • Struggling with economic hardship
